YVES SAINT LAURENT c. 1983 Documented Peasant Blouse Size S

A spectacular bright red and black Yves Saint Laurent peasant blouse from c. 1983. The blouse features a deep v-neckline, a fitted underbust/waist area and a widely flared peplum as well as superwide balloon sleeves with elasticated hems, 3/4-length. The blouse closes with a side zipper and is made of 100% cotton, unlined. Made in France.

Very good vintage condition with the following minor flaws to note (all of these do not detract when worn) - two small pinholes at the upper back (see label picture), a small area with rubbed off fabric at the waist and a faint, small discoloration at the chest. Please note that this garment has been reworked from a dress into a blouse as the skirt showed larger areas of discoloration (see picture of the original dress). The white version of this dress was part of the advertising campaign 1983 shot by Helmut Newton in Monte Carlo.
