This rare and highly sought after 2005 Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière dress is truly a work of art.

It has a relaxed and flowing A-line cut that makes it a perfect summer vacation dress. It is made of two airy layers of fine silk, with the bottom layer made of fine silk satin and the top layer made of slightly sheer silk crepe georgette. Both layers are printed with a very beautiful, detailed, colorful paisley and ikat print as well as plain sky blue sections. The transparency of the georgette, together with the shiny satin underneath, creates a very appealing visual effect.

The dress has a delicate halter neck made of black lace with a wide neckline and patterned appliqués in the front right next to the lace. It then falls in a wide A-line with intricate ruffles and an eye-catching high-low handkerchief hem that varies from mini length at the center front to almost floor length at the back.
