ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Spring 2009 Vintage Crystal Kaleidoscope Print Dress

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Spring 2009 Vintage Crystal Kaleidoscope Print Dress

"Stiff mini dresses with built up shoulders, sliced-away side panels and high necklines were smothered in crystals to make human disco balls of the models", is how Dolly Jones described the beauty of Alexander McQueen's Spring 2009 crystal print dresses for Vogue UK.

This rare and iconic Alexander McQueen runway dress from the Spring 2009 "NATURAL Dis-Tinction, Un-Natural Selection" collection is made of a relatively rigid wool/silk/nylon blend with a subtle metallic sheen and a very distinctive crystal kaleidoscope print, unmistakably McQueen. Due to the relatively stiff nature of fabric, the dress appears sculpted and three-dimensional even on a hanger, retracing the curves of the female body.

Fitted cut with futuristic padded shoulders and a nude mesh inset at the center neckline and the skirt sitting a few inches above the knee. Back zipper and metal hook & eye. 53% wool, 41% silk, 6% nylon. Fully lined in 100% silk. Made in Italy.
