A rare and collectible Vivienne Westwood "heart" skirt suit from the Harris Tweed Collection A/W 1987/88, one of the designer's most iconic creations. Jacket and skirt are made of a bright red wool fabric, the jacket with a large black velvet heart that follows the lines of the collar. Flap pockets, gold-tone signature button. Short skirt with vent, closes with a zipper and a gold-tone signature button. 100% wool, both pieces lined in silky rayon. Made in England. Condition
Good vintage condition with lighter signs of wear (both pieces with marks/discolorations to the lining), but particularly several moth holes, especially to shoulder and cuff area of the sleeves (please see last picture for the most severe damage).
