CHRISTIAN DIOR 2000s Vintage Oblique Canvas Trotter Monogram Jacket

CHRISTIAN DIOR 2000s Vintage Oblique Canvas Trotter Monogram Jacket

This rare and iconic vintage Christian Dior by John Galliano Oblique canvas jacket with the instantly recognizable all-over pattern has a sharp and very refined cut with padded shoulders, an extravagant collar, a well-defined waist, suggested pockets (decorative only) and 7/8-length sleeves with slit and overlapping cuffs. Silver-tone metal rivets and signature buttons. No material label, the fabric is a denim/canvas quality with perfect weight and drape, probably cotton and a synthetic fiber that helps the jacket keep its sharp and sculpted shape perfectly when worn. Unlined, beautifully finished with small inside pockets. Made in France.

This jacket dates back to the first half of the 2000s. John Galliano revived the blue Oblique pattern for Spring 2000 and Fall 2000, but the very distinctive collar with its open and overlapping details suggests Spring 2005.
