The German monthly magazine Madame has been published since 1950, initially under the name Figaro. Following a legal dispute with the French daily Le Figaro, the publication has been called Madame since 1952 and is considered Germany's oldest fashion magazine still in existence. Madame successfully drew its inspiration from the great American paragons Vogue and Harper's Bazaar and featured German and international fashion, showcased by renowned photographers such as Regina Relang.
