BERNARD PERRIS

Bernard Perris is one of the great names of French fashion that remains very much under the radar today. After early stints at Guy Laroche, Jacques Heim, and Christian Dior in the 1960s, he became best known in the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s for his extravagant, over-the-top, and luxurious eveningwear. While primarily prêt-à-porter, his designs carried the spirit and opulence of haute couture, made with the finest materials and exceptional craftsmanship. His fashion house remained active until 1994, after which he served as head designer at Jean-Louis Scherrer from 1994 to 1997.
