LORIS AZZARO c. 1972 Vintage "Three Rings" Orange Jersey Maxi Evening Dress
The "Three Rings" dress is undoubtedly Loris Azzaro's most iconic design. Originally released in the early 1970s and reissued for Spring 2014, these dresses came in various colours and with ornate beading. Available reference pictures: Carine Roitfeld with Kate Moss, Jane Birkin and Brigitte Bardot in Roger Vadim's "Don Juan, or if Don Juan were a Woman" (released in 1973), another Jane Birkin and legendary Azzaro muse Marisa Berenson with an unknown model. The dress also made it on the cover of the 2017 tribute book "Azzaro: Fifty Years of Glitter".
This vintage dress from the early 1970s is made of Azzaro's signature jersey in a delicious bright orange and features a fitted neckholder bodice with the iconic keyhole design and intricate beading. Open back. Slightly flared full-length skirt. Zipper and metal hook and eye at the back, the neckholder fastens with two metal hooks and eyes. The bodice has a silky lining, the skirt is left unlined. Made in France.
