This rare and stunning vintage Gianni Versace dress from Spring 1994 combines colourful paisley prints with the iconic safety pins that instantaneously became one of the house's signature design elements. The dress is made of a rayon jersey and cleverly constructed. The sleeveless black and white bottom layer - seemingly a dress - is actually a romper. The integrated shorts will allow you to wear the dress with the greatest possible ease. The brilliantly coloured layer above is artfully draped and adorned with four large ornate gold- and silver-tone metal safety pins. The dress is exquisitely crafted and features intricate closures such as a side zipper with several hooks and eyes and a hidden zipper and snap button fastening on top of one shoulder. 100% rayon, unlined. CONDITION
Excellent, appears hardly worn. The only flaw are two pinholes below the two safety pins at the side where might have been another safety pin. Not too obvious as the fabric is gathered into pleats there and might easily be covered with a Versace safety pin brooch if desired (the standard safety pin brooch currently available in the Versace online store is the same size and features a nearly identical design).
