GIANNI VERSACE Spring 1996 Mod. 418 Col. C1D Vintage Medusa Sunglasses w/ Hand-Painted Frame

A documented design from Gianni Versace Spring 1996, these iconic sunglasses were worn on the runway by Amber Valletta and perfectly capture the bold and colorful spirit of the collection.

Model 418 is one of Versace’s most recognizable eyewear designs of the 1990s, produced in a variety of bold colorways and instantly identifiable through its rounded oversized silhouette and large Medusa embellishments at the temples, while still feeling strikingly modern today.

This particular version (col. C1D) features a transparent frame with a vibrant hand-painted floral motif in blue, green, red, yellow, and black, complemented by silver-tone hardware and the original dark grey tinted lenses. Made in Italy.

CONDITION

The frame is in very good vintage condition. The original lenses show micro-scratches throughout, as expected with age and wear, though visibility is not significantly affected.

SIZE

Frame width 15,0 cm/5.91"
