GIVENCHY 1970s 1980s Vintage Black Silk Taffeta Ruffled Maxi Evening Dress

This wonderful Givenchy Nouvelle Boutique evening dress, circa late 1970s or early 1980s, consists of a stretchy, smocked bodice with a very interesting bubble structure and a full, flared, floor-length silk taffeta skirt. Both bodice and skirt finish with an opulent ruffle with scalloped edges. The dress fastens with a side zip and metal hook and eye and has an inner waist support. It is made of 100% silk and is unlined. The ruffle of the skirt is reinforced by another layer of fabric underneath. Made in France.
