This ethereal evening dress by Givenchy from around 1977 is made of fine silk chiffon with interwoven horizontal stripes and the most beautiful ombré color gradient from deep blue to light green. It has a scooped elastic neckline and a high empire waist, which is also elasticized so that the bust area is accentuated in the most beautiful way, especially by the short silk bow at the center front. From the empire waist down, the dress flows into a wide A-line skirt that ends with a generous ankle-length flounce. The long, flared sleeves finish with elastic cuffs. The dress closes at the center back with a hand-set zipper and metal hook and eye. Hand-finished details. 100% silk. Bodice and skirt are lined, sleeves are unlined and slightly sheer. Made in France.
