This iconic and instantly recognizable "Flying Saucer" dress from Spring 1994 is one of Issey Miyake's most coveted designs that is held by numerous prestigious museums worldwide (The Metropolitan Museum New York, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Palais Galliera Paris). It is made from the designer's signature poly fabric, which is densely pleated and features a bold colorblock design that is inspired by paper lanterns, with fabric rings arranged in a tubular shape that have incredible movement and fold up completely for storage. The dress slips on to wear and can be draped and worn in various ways. 100% polyester, unlined. Made in Japan. A wonderful addition to any vintage collection.
