MAISON GRIPOIX Att. Vintage Pâte de Verre Poured Glass & Rhinestones Floral Belt

This extraordinary and very rare vintage belt, likely from the house of Gripoix Paris, is a true masterpiece. Crafted from fine gold-toned metal, it features poured glass elements in light green and pink, along with numerous sparkling prong-set rhinestones. Its enchanting floral design is complemented by a detachable buckle, making it versatile to wear in two different ways.

A genuine treasure and an artistic statement piece, this belt is unsigned or bears an almost illegible signature (see detailed photo). Possibly from the 1950s to 1970s.

Renowned Parisian jewelry house Gripoix, famous for its handcrafted poured glass ("pâte de verre") techniques, was established in the late 19th century and has created exquisite pieces for high-fashion houses like Chanel and Christian Dior.

CONDITION
The belt is in very good vintage condition with tarnishing on the metal (see images). Poured glass is intact except for a small imperfection or damage on the large buckle. Rhinestones appear to be complete. Three small metal rings connecting the elements are missing.
