VIVIENNE WESTWOOD c. 1991-1993 Vintage Elevated Court Shoes Platform Heels

These iconic vintage Vivienne Westwood elevated court shoes from the early 1990s are crafted from black genuine leather and feature dangerously high 16,0 cm/6.3" heels. Leather inner soles, synthetic outer soles. Made in England. These shoes come with their original box. Vivienne Westwood's chunky platform heels were all the rage in the early 1990s (who wouldn't remember the iconic moment that Naomi Campbell happened to stumble on the catwalk during the Fall 1993 runway presentation - a scene that garnered worldwide attention, became an unforgettable moment in fashion history and turned these shoes into an instant classic) and influenced the footwear of the decade to come. Vivienne Westwood's elevated court shoes came in various materials, textures and colours and played an important role in several of her early 1990s collections.
