VOGUE Paris December 1969/January 1970

This rare and exceptional December 1969/January 1970 issue of Vogue Paris is the first Christmas and New Year guest-edited issue for which Vogue Paris became famous in the 1970s and 1980s. The guest editor of this issue is the celebrated writer Françoise Sagan. It features stunningly beautiful ads (Cartier, Chanel, Jean Patou, Bulgari and many more) and outstanding fashion photography by Henry Clarke, Helmut Newton (8 pages of "Les Belles et les Bêtes"), Guy Bourdin (16 spectacular pages, including a portrait of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg and the iconic images of models completely encrusted with jewels), Franco Rubartelli (18 pages with Veruschka), Henri Cartier-Bresson (a portrait of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel), Jeanloup Sieff and others. The magazine perfectly captures the spirit of the late 1960s in its pages and is a sought-after collector's item with spectacular fashion imagery.
