A rare Yohji Yamamoto hoop dress from Fall 1990. The red version of this dress was part of the 2011 exhibition "Yohji Yamamoto at the Victoria and Albert Museum", and similar models from that season reside in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Kyoto Costume Institute.
The dress is crafted from a fine and lightweight black wool fabric and features a slim-fitting bodice and an incredible asymmetrical skirt with four integrated hoops that create a very unique three-dimensional and somewhat distorted shape. The dress closes with a concealed silver-tone metal zipper and a metal hook & eye at the back. 100% wool, silky black lining. Made in France.
