YVES SAINT LAURENT Fall 1977 Hooded Velvet Coat w/ Passementerie & Tassels

A rare Yves Saint Laurent velvet coat from his Fall 1977 collection. Made of deep black velvet, thick, incredibly soft and quilted throughout with gold-tone metallic thread. Slim fit through the shoulder area. Beautiful gold and black passementerie details to the front. Two long cords with opluent tassels serve as a closure. The coat falls widely flared and features a large hood with a decorative tassel, side pockets and very long, billowing sleeves with wide cuffs. Knee-length. Fully lined. The interior is trimmed with gold-tone metallic cording. Made in France. An outstanding and highly collectible piece.
