This iconic Yves Saint Laurent ensemble from the celebrated Spring 1977 Spanish Collection comprises a blouse, a maxi skirt, and a lace-up corset belt. The blouse and skirt are crafted from a vivid red cotton with the collection’s signature rickrack detailing, while the belt is made from a lighter-weight black cotton.
The blouse features a slightly flared cut with a wide neckline and ¾-length sleeves finished with elasticated cuffs. It includes internal bra strap keepers. The flared, ankle-length skirt has concealed side pockets and fastens at the side with a zipper, button, and metal hook and eye. The wide corset belt laces through five sets of eyelets. 100% cotton, unlined. Made in France.

CONDITION The set is in very good to excellent vintage condition. The skirt shows minor signs of wear, including a faint mark at the front near the waist that remains after dry cleaning. The metal eyelets on the belt display light rusting consistent with age. The blouse is in excellent condition. While we cannot confirm with absolute certainty that the belt was originally part of this ensemble, it comes from the same estate and dates to the same period.
