ANGELO TARLAZZI

Italian designer Angelo Tarlazzi is one of the great yet under-the-radar names of 1980s and 1990s fashion. Active since the 1960s, he built an impressive career that included creative leadership roles at Carosa, Jean Patou, Guy Laroche, and Carven. He established his own fashion house in 1977 and became particularly celebrated for his glamorous cocktail and evening wear, often characterized by generous volumes of silk taffeta in bold, saturated colors, dramatic draping, oversized bows, and body-conscious silhouettes.
