CHRISTIAN LACROIX Fall 1991 Vintage Chartreuse Cocktail Evening Dress Size L

This rare and spectacular vintage Christian Lacroix short evening dress from Fall 1991 is crafted from a chartreuse cotton-silk blend with beautiful structure and volume, finest black lace and black velvet. The extraordinary cut is very characteristic of Christian Lacroix's penchant for opulence, romance, theatricality, femininity and is bursting with couturey details. The dress features a built-in bustier bodice with light boning and black velvet edges with the actual off shoulder top with a plunging split neckline, beautifully gathered fabric and long sleeves with zippered pointed cuffs above. The empire waist is accentuated with black velvet, and the knee-length skirt features an overlay of finest black lace. The bustier bodice closes with a zipper and a metal hook and eye at the center back and is secured by a waist stay. The main dress above closes with a row of hidden snap buttons from waist to hips as well as a metal hook and eye at the top of the back, and the top lace overlay closes with a row of hidden snap buttons as well. Main fabric 70% cotton, 30% silk, lace 70% polyester, 30% polyamide, velvet 100% rayon, fully lined in 100% acetate. Made in France.

CONDITION
Unworn with original tags. Slight signs of general wear and age to the fabric including a barely noticeable small water mark (2,0 cm/0.8") and two faint lines (1,0-1,5 cm/0.4-0.6"), all at the left sleeve, that remain after dry-cleaning. The original zipper was broken and was replaced.
