HERMÈS c. 1986 Faune et Flore du Texas by Kermit Oliver Vintage Silk Scarf Foulard Carré

An extremely coveted vintage Hermès Faune et Flore du Texas (Texas Wildlife) silk scarf by Kermit Oliver, the only American artist to design scarves for Hermès. The print, first issued in 1986, depicting the Texan flora and fauna with a large wild turkey in the center (hence its nickname "turkey scarf"), is incredibly rich and detailed and done against an olive green background with a teal border, an especially beautiful colorway. Hand-rolled edges. No care tag. A versatile classic that complements any outfit and a highly sought-after collectible. A version of this design is held by the National Museum of African-American History & Culture in Washington, DC.
