Designed by Dora Demmel and released in 1973, the Silhouette Futura 570 is among the most coveted collectible sunglasses in the world. This iconic model showcases a bold, futuristic shield-like design with a striking bright-orange oversized plastic frame and its original grayish-tinted lenses. Signed Silhouette Mod. 570, these sunglasses are well-documented classics famously worn by Elton John and Michael Henderson of the Miles Davis Group. Reference photos - including one from the original advertising campaign - are available upon request.
CONDITION
These sunglasses are in excellent vintage condition with light wear (a few micro-scratches) to the original lenses. They come with their original protective case. Please note: the arms are currently quite narrow and best suited for a very small head as-is. For an average fit, the arms would need to be gently adjusted (opened) by an optician using slight heat exposure, which is a standard and simple routine adjustment at any optical shop.
