An exceptional vintage Escada skirt from Spring 2001, showcasing the house’s signature approach to opulent and highly elaborate embellishment.
Crafted from fine pale pink silk, the skirt is covered in extraordinarily intricate floral embroidery executed with thousands of sequins and beads in shades of gold, orange, pink, green, and pale seafoam, creating an almost sculptural, slightly raised surface with striking depth and dimension. Both the front and back are lavishly embellished throughout. The embellishments catch the light beautifully, producing a constant shimmer and subtle sparkle in motion.
Particularly beautiful is the wide embroidered border at the hem with its softly curved, undulating line, emphasizing the richness of the decoration.
The skirt’s silhouette is timeless and highly wearable - lightly flared, approximately knee-length, and easy to style. The skirt closes at the side with a zipper and metal hook fastening.
