This rare and uber-cute Geoffrey Beene mini dress from Spring/Summer 1969 features a sleeveless fitted bodice with a decorative button panel and a beautifully constructed mini skirt that falls in extra wide pleats. The dress closes with a back zipper and a metal hook & eye at the back of the neck and has an internal waist stay as well as bra strap keepers. It is crafted from a very beautiful mercerised cotton featuring an abstract floral print in brilliant red, orange, dark blue and white with the loveliest trimmed edges. Fully lined in blue silk. This dress is incredibly well made with many beautiful details that speak of Beene's first-class tailoring. A version of this documented dress is held by the Bullock Museum
in Austin, Texas.
