An incredibly rare 1949 issue with stunningly beautiful advertisements (think Christian Dior by René Gruau, Chanel...), magnificent fashion illustrations and fashion and lifestyle photography by Richard Dormer, Henry Clarke, John French, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Richard Avedon (incredible images showcasing Paris fashions, including a shot of Christian Dior's iconic "Junon" and "Venus" dresses - a recreation of the Junon dress was worn by actress Natalie Portman at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival) and more. A mix of black-and-white and brilliantly coloured pages, excellent paper quality. From the first to the last page, this issue is a visual feast, a testimony of its time and highly collectible. A superb edition.

This magazine is in very good vintage condition, especially considering its age. Signs of wear include rust marks, a dog-ear and two hand-written pencil notes on the cover. Please note that this magazine has a strong musty smell due to decades of storage. The pages are in great condition, the colours brilliant, the stapled binding intact.
