LANVIN 1960s Vintage Couture Metallic Brocade Party Evening Mini Dress Size L

This rare and spectacular vintage Lanvin dress from the late 1960s is made of the most amazing matelassé brocade, featuring an opulent geometric and floral print with metallic gold and silver accents. The beauty of this fabric is incredible. The dress is sleeveless and has a flared mini skirt, with the matelassé fabric beautifully holding its shape. The dress is elaborately trimmed and closes with a row of sixteen heavy faux pearl buttons down the front. No fabric label, fully lined in hand-set white silk. The dress is largely done by hand and a 1960s masterpiece.

CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition. Light general wear to the brocade inherent to the fabric. Minimal discoloration to the lining. Appears to have been professionally altered at the side seams to fit a larger size. A small stretch of open seam in the lining.
