LORIS AZZARO 1970s Vintage "Baba" Beaded Backless Maxi Evening Gown Size S
The "Baba" dress from the early 1970s is one of Loris Azzaro's most iconic designs with high recognition value. Carolyn Murphy wore a green version of this dress to the 2003 Met Gala and looked drop-dead gorgeous.
Made of black synthetic jersey, the dress has a high halter neck with five beaded strings that crisscross at the back and extend to the floor. With its open back and the dramatic beaded strings, the dress is daringly sexy but at the same time very easy to wear thanks to the stretchy jersey. Slips on to wear. The halter neck closes with metal hooks and eyes. No material label, probably 100% polyester, unlined. The dress is largely done by hand and Made in France.
