This stunning Louis Féraud evening top, circa 1980s, is an absolute dream. On a base of fine cream silk crepe, it is literally encrusted from top to bottom in sparkling pearls and iridescent sequins, creating a cable-knit trompe l'oeil effect. The piece is entirely covered with pearls and sequins and has a substantial weight. Featuring 3/4-length sleeves and a hook-and-eye closure at the back, it is fully lined in 100% hand-set silk. A craftsmanship and artistry you can only find in vintage.
CONDITION Used, but in excellent vintage condition. The beading is in excellent condition. A few single beads appear to have darkened. Upon very close inspection, we found two or three loose beads, but otherwise, the exterior appears perfect. Please note that the lining shows moderate signs of wear throughout (discoloration, particularly around the neckline and underarm area). Due to its delicate nature, this piece is sold as-is.
SIZE Tagged DE 38 - runs small through the hips. Fits XS to MEDIUM (DE 34-36-38, FR 36-38-40, IT 40-42-44, US 4-6-8, UK 8-10-12), depending on whether the hem is worn casually on the hips like a sweater or hangs straight down, as shown in the pictures.
