This spectacular vintage Roberto Cavalli maxi skirt from Spring 2005 is crafted from rustling white silk taffeta with a highly detailed floral and butterfly print in shades of blue and purple. The Roberto Cavalli signature is scattered throughout the fabric, which is finished with the characteristic gold-tone metallic shimmer typical of Cavalli pieces from that era.
The skirt is cut low on the hips, extremely wide and flared, and floor-grazing in length, finished with a small ruffle at the hem. It has hidden side pockets and closes with a signature zipper and metal hooks and eyes. Constructed from abundant silk, it moves beautifully when worn.
The runway images featuring Daria Werbowy and Mariacarla Boscono show the same design (and its incredible movement) in another colorway, as well as a dress with the same print.
