This rare and stunning Valentino evening dress dates from the Spring 1999 Collection. A similar model was shown on the runway, worn by Angela Lindvall.
The dress is made from a pale grey, silky acetate-viscose crepe with a fluid, straight silhouette falling to floor length. The hem extends slightly longer at the back. The shoulders are lightly padded, with the shoulder pads hand-sewn into place and fitted with bra strap keepers for a secure fit.
The defining detail is the beautifully constructed lattice work at one shoulder, formed from interwoven strips of a silky acetate-silk blend and backed with nude tulle, creating a subtle sheer effect.
The dress is Made in Italy and finished by hand. It closes at the back with a zipper and metal hook-and-eye fastening. Fabric 1: 73% acetate, 27% viscose (rayon), fabric 2: 72% acetate, 28% silk.

CONDITION
