YVES SAINT LAURENT S/S 1979 Vintage Silk Dress Moon Star Print

A spectacular Yves Saint Laurent silk dress from Spring/Summer 1979 featuring the iconic moon and star print. The dress is made of a fine and floaty silk chiffon with a multi-colored print in fuchsia, blue, green, red and cream white as well as sparkling gold-tone lurex stars. The main colour is somewhere between the darkest midnight blue and black. The dress features a wide neckline (can be regulated with a fine black satin drawstring) with two layers of opulent ruffles and extralong, ultrawide billowing sleeves with elasticated ruffled cuffs. The fit is loose and floaty and allows for a variety of sizes. Can also be styled with a belt to accentuate the waist and achieve a more fitted look. Slips on to wear, knee-length. 100% silk, unlined. Made in France. The combination of the wide cut and the sheer and floaty fabric with its multi-coloured, sparkling print creates an amazing effect.
